INTERNATIONAL ART OF GIVING DAY

KIIT Alumni Association Nepal (KAAN) celebrated International Art of Giving (AOG) day on 17th May at Kathmandu, Nepal. Art of Giving (AOG) is a not-for-profit initiative for spreading, supporting and promoting the practice of the art of giving around the world.
 
AOG is was founded by Achyuta Samanta on 17 May 2013 and is about spreading unconditional and sustainable abundance of love, peace and happiness and contentment for others through gestures of kindness and generosity.  It was celebrated by distributing uniforms and food packets to children of community school in Buddhanagar. It was also celebrated in Biratnagar, Janakpur, Saptari, Birgunj and Kanchanpur in Nepal.
 
The president of KIIT Alumni Association Nepal Mr Rupesh Kumar Shah also spoke about Achyuta Samanta's initiative (Kalinga Institute of Scocial Sciences) to educate 27000 poor indigenous (tribal) children with a focus on formal education aimed at providing sustainable livelihood and scope for all-round development. #ArtOfGiving has also collaborated with UNESCO MGIEP to collect stories of kindness for @SDGs and help those powerful stories on #KindnessMatters reach all, young and young at heart.
